Wilsons Cafe
Beach Vibes Cafe perfect for all day brunch
Wilsons is one of the longest established cafe, restaurants in Rawai. This cafe is an absolute favorite with the locals and expats living in the area long term. It’s hard to get a better combination of poached eggs on toast & coffee anywhere. Wilsons started off as a breakfast & brunch cafe, however now has a serious lunch and dinner menu also. However you will find it most packed and most well known for its breakfast. The drinks menu is nearly as big as the food menu, with a huge variety of smoothies, juices, teas and coffees. Plus the staff are very use to custom orders, so go nuts!
We will say however that because of its popularity that Wilsons can get packed. Not just with people dining in but also with food delivery. So if its busy when you walk in expect a wait. The owners have installed buzzers on the tables so it’s easy to get the attention of the staff. Just press for service!
Wilsons has lots of parking for motorbikes at the front and a huge carpark on the side for cars.
Ken Ken
Watch an expert barista at work
Ken Ken is a relatively new addition to Rawai but has already become one of the most popular places for a coffee. Why? Because its just so damn good! Hard to find a better coffee on the island! The owner serves up every cup with expert precision. There is a large selection of beans and milk alternatives. Along with some non coffee drinks like “caramel milk” for those who can’t handle their caffeine. Plus some scrumptious little pastries perfect for grab and go! Ken Ken is very popular in the mornings right on opening with Grab bikes ready to go for home deliveries.
For coffee lovers this cafe is a must try!
Leikki
Chilled little spot on the main road
Located on Wiset Rd on the way to the Chalong Circle on the right side. On the corner of the “Fishermans Way”, the same area as Prime Burger, Rossovivo & Tandoori Nights. Great coffee, very relaxed vibe in the cafe and some very tasty food on offer form a varied menu. From eggs on toast, pumpkin soup to Japanese curry. But don’t let that scare you off!
The coffee is extremely good. Actually everything is very very good. It’s a perfect spot to meet a friend for a coffee and something sweet. The decor is clean tidy, modern thai style cafe something that you might find in Bangkok. Staff are well trained and again the coffee is good!
Rustic & Blue
Creative & tasty menu, cannabis infused with an amazing view.
Going to Rustic & Blue by the Sea feels like a treat. Its just a few mins from Rawai beach, but feels like you have left the area into somewhere new and special. The view is amazing! Looks out over Rawai Beach. The menu is creative and tasty! Lots of work has gone into making the menu fun and exciting. Plus if you’re into alittle cannabis then you’re in luck as they have a special menu of cannabis infused treats. Both main courses and desserts. The main dining area is on the roof with an enclosed area and part open air. They also do some occasional special events like a movie night and special tasting menus etc. Its a very cool cafe/ restaurant and well worth a visit.

Gallery Cafe
Good allrounder breakfast, lunch & early dinner
Gallery by Pinky has several branches however the Rawai branch is located at the Kata/ Naiharn interaction on Saiyuan Road about 70m from The Project Co-Working and Boost Cafe.
Gallery has a classic international menu from English Breakfast & smoothie bowl to Chicken Parmigiana (one of our favorites) and even a Sunday Roast!
There is both indoor and outdoor seating, however most of the seating is indoors. Its a perfect everyday cafe, the coffee is decent, the food is great and the service good. The Gallery is available on Grab & Food Panda so you can get home delivery if you don’t want to venture out or you can call and place an order for pickup. Our current favorite is the Grilled Vegetable Salad with Feta and hard to beat the Roast Pork on a Sunday. You will often see “Pinky” herself in the store making sure everything is up to standard.
And its reported that there is an expansion underway next door to bring back South End Bakery & add more seating for Gallery. Very exciting!
Boost Cafe
High quality and modern cafe
Boost is located next door to The Project Co-Working on Saiyuan Road.
Boost is one of the most popular cafes in town. They have a regularly changing menu of high quality products and a fun hip vibe. It gets busy, but they seem to keep the pace better than your average cafe during a busy time. This is due to the owners focus on operations. He runs a tight ship and you can tell. Portion sizes have been reported as smaller than average, however quality is higher than average. They are now open till 10pm for dinner and their new menu looks amazing! Check it out.

Home Grain
Cute family ran cafe with a killer maple syrup bacon
Located on Wiset Rd close to the old shell museum.
Home Grain is fast becoming a top breakfast location. Owned and operated by a Thai lady who spent over 10 years in Australia working in cafes. She has surely brought her own style and flair to the menu. The menu is broken into different dietary preferences. There is vegan, keto and classic options all laid out in a simple to read menu. The bacon & egg bun is hard to pass up and their vegan breakfast is hardy and protein packed with yummy tempeh (best in town).
Coffee is on par with cafes like Boost & Wilsons, but Ken Ken & Lekki still come out on top for coffee. (In our opinion) The interior of the cafe is comfortable and practical, with a friendly dog that roams around wanting a pat and maybe some bacon! Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch, they close early about 4pm and currently closed on Mondays. But check their socials for updates information on opening times.
We still have a few more to go!
